Music 2019.11.15-2019.11.21

My week has been particularly busy, but I did find some time to listen to some favourites.

Run 2019.11.20

I'm in the midst of some of the most tense missions in Zombies, Run! this month. I just had to save a baby that was kidnapped by a zombie, which was still tense even knowing the outcome.

Archie & Friends Travel #1

I read about a new Archie comic back in October that would feature the gang visiting countries including Canada and the Philippines. I picked it up today out of curiosity and was a bit surprised by the contents.

My Virtual Mission: Dean to Halifax

As the weather worsens through Autumn and Winter, I find that I need some extra motivation to keep me running regularly. I'm trying out My Virtual Mission as a way to keep moving.

Stack Clean: The Divided States of Hysteria #2

I internally debated whether I would even mention this comic, because it was profoundly bad in a number of ways.

Project 365 2019.11.12-2019.11.18

Each day I share a photo on my FrozenTruth.com account at apollo. Here are the past week's shots.

Run 2019.11.18

I ran the second of two birth missions in Zombies, Run! and at the end a baby was kidnapped. It hit home in a different way now that I'm a parent.

Tiny Islands

Tiny Islands is an online map drawing game that reminds me a lot of my favourite board game, Carcassonne. It's an easy enough game to understand but does demand a lot of planning to get a high score.

Stack Clean: Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again #4

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again #4 was a flat experience for me, with none of what I enjoy from the character and nothing that made me want more of this take on him.

Run 2019.11.16

Today getting a run in meant dashing to the store, grabbing groceries and running home. It wasn't so bad and made the shopping a bit less tedious.

Run 2019.11.15

The mission I was running today was full of arguing between Jody and Amelia and it dawned on me that Jody is now likely my favourite character in the game.

Music 2019.11.08-2019.11.14

A lot of my listening this week has been driven by what I play for my daughter. Starting to play Ella Jenkins performances for her has been a nice change to get some more variety in what she and I hear.

Run 2019.11.14

I didn't run for nearly a week due to a collision of obligations and weather, but it was great to get moving in the crisp autumn air. I've switched over to running shoes from my usual minimalist, but not cold resistant, usual footwear, and it's taking some adjusting.

Project 365 2019.11.05-2019.11.11

I’ve been taking at least one photo for each day and sharing them on my FrozenTruth.com account at apollo.

Stack Clean: Eugenic #1

Eugenic #1, unlike the past few issues I've cleared from my stack, was engaging. The central science fiction premise is interesting, and the delivery makes the horror of eugenics more approachable.

Stack Clean: The Eltingville Club #1

The Eltingville Club #1 is another of those comics I'm just not set up to enjoy. It was a slog through the recounting of the worst behaviours of nerds that had no glimmer of hope, humour or fun for me. There was, however a nice rendering of a d6.

Stack Clean: Legacy of Luther Strode #1

I'm not the target audience for many of the comics I got in the grab bag that make up what's left in my stack. Legacy of Luther Strode #1 was just hollow for me; the art didn't do anything for me, the dialog and story didn't draw me in and I was just waiting for an end.
